Have you heard of honeyguide birds? These birds are not domesticated but they have had a relationship with humans for many thousands of years. They use their songs to communicate with people, and basically guide them to the nearest wild beehive. The birds are not trained, yet know instinctively how to work with humans. What is their incentive? The partnership rewards the honeyguides with beeswax, and the humans with honey. According to the University of Cambridge, Honeyguides will even actively recruit human partners by using a distinctive call to attract attention!
